BERN, Switzerland, July 19 (Xinhua) -- British sprinter Mark Cavendish announced Tuesday his decision to withdraw from the on-going Tour de France and focus on the upcoming Rio Olympic Games.

The 31-year-old has won four stages in this year's race and Tuesday is the final rest day before the race goes on with the last five stages on Wednesday.

"After an extremely enjoyable and successful couple of weeks at the Tour de France with Team Dimension Data, it is with great sadness that I took the decision today to leave the race," Cavendish said in a statement.

"After the heat and intensity of the previous stages, we analysed my fatigue levels and decided I'm at a point that would have a detrimental effect on my other big goal for the year, the Olympic Games," he said.

Australian Rohan Dennis, who won the opening stage time trial last year, also quit the Tour on Tuesday to concentrate on his Olympic preparations.

The Rio Games start on Aug. 5 and finish on Aug. 21.

JERUSALEM Air Max White Sale , May 22 (Xinhua) -- Speaking on the first day of his visit to Israel and the West Bank, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to start a "new partnership" with the Arab world.

"There are many things that can happen now that could never have happened before," Trump said in a joint statement after his meeting with Netanyahu.

"We must seize them together. We must take advantage of the situation," he stressed.

The president said Israel and Saudi Arabia, an Arab superpower in the Middle East Air Max Black Sale , have common interests in struggling against Iran and the Islamic State group.

Speaking about his meetings with Arab leaders during his trip to Riyadh earlier this week, Trump said Saudi Arabia's King Salman "wants to see great things in the world."

"We are willing to work together. I believe that a new level of partnership is possible and will happen," the president added.

Trump also said he believes that "renewed effort" could lead to an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal.

Netanyahu responded to Trump's remarks on a positive note.
